Job summary

Madina Academy in Windsor, CT seeks a dedicated Teacher Assistant to support lead teachers in delivering engaging lessons and organized classroom activities.

You will assist with lesson prep, track attendance, and work with students who need extra help, while maintaining a positive, patient approach. A college or associate’s degree is preferred, and strong communication with students, parents, and teachers is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teacher’s Assistant
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Cool-tempered and positive attitude
• Love for teaching and ability to build trusting relationships with students, teachers, and parents

Responsibilities

• Help teachers prepare lesson plans and set up materials for classes
• Track student attendance and class schedules
• Review material with students needing extra help
• Work with small groups for remedial teaching or reinforcement
• Escort and supervise students in lunch, recess, and activities
• Ensure classrooms are safe and tidy before classes start
• Assist teachers with various tasks and classroom management
• Report behavioral issues to teachers
