Job summary

Westbourne Primary School is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support Early Years learners. The role follows a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8.30am-4:00pm and Friday 8.30am-3.30pm, within a supportive Trust context.

You will work with a dedicated team to support care, wellbeing and learning, including children with SEND, and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment. DBS checks and UK eligibility verification are required.

Qualifications

• Have a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their care and learning.
• Be warm, patient and able to build positive relationships with children.
• Have an understanding of child development and the importance of learning through play.
• Be committed to supporting children with SEND, adapting activities and approaches to meet individual needs.
• Be confident and comfortable supporting children with personal care needs, always promoting dignity, independence and respect.
• Encourage children's confidence, independence and communication.
• Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with parents, carers and colleagues.
• Have a strong commitment to safeguarding and creating a safe, inclusive environment for every child.

Responsibilities
