Your Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. As a crucial member of our educational community, the successful candidate will work closely with teachers to create a positive and supportive learning environment for elementary school students in math class. This position involves providing assistance in classroom activities, supporting students by providing feedback and extra practice, and communicating with their parents to provide suggestions.

Job Responsibilities

1. Classroom Support
2. Assist the lead teacher in preparing and organizing instructional materials.
3. Support classroom management by reinforcing positive behavior and addressing any challenges that may arise.
4. Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students who may need additional help with assignments or understanding concepts.
5. Student Engagement
6. Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where students feel motivated and encouraged to participate.
7. Collaborate with the lead teacher to implement engaging and age-appropriate activities that enhance the learning experience.
8. Assist in the implementation of lesson plans, ensuring that educational objectives are met.
9. Update the class OneDrive shared folder for parents with class materials.
10. Assessment and Feedback
11. Support the lead teacher in assessing students' progress and maintaining accurate records.
12. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their academic performance.
13. Communication
14. Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and school administrators.
15. Attend meetings and conferences as needed to discuss student progress and development.
16. Contribute to creating a positive, safe, and organized classroom environment.
17. Assist in the setup and maintenance of educational displays and bulletin boards.
18. Operational Support
19. Support online or in-person educational activities, such as mock exams, daily practice, open house, etc.
20. Welcome and lead students into the classroom.
21. Promote Think Academy courses to parents and friends through social media platforms.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working with elementary school students is desired.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with children.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff.
• Mandarin speaking is required.
