Job summary

Mercer Cluster’s Physics department is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to help with in-class activities, distribute and collect materials, and offer peer support during group work. Outside class hours, you will assist faculty with quizzes and worksheets, requiring strong communication and organizational skills.

Candidates must have completed PHY 141 or 161 and demonstrate proficiency. Pay is $12.50 per hour with a 6-hour weekly schedule, start 08/18/2026 and end 12/11/2026.

Qualifications

• Must have completed PHY 141 or 161.
• Demonstrated excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to assist peers during group work and quizzes.

Responsibilities

• In classes: assist daily activities, hand out/collect materials, provide peer support during group work.
