Job summary

The University of Colorado Boulder Libraries invites applications for the Innovations in Jewish Life Archivist, a two-year limited-term teaching faculty position. This role will manage IJL archival collections documenting postwar to present Jewish life and scholarship in collaboration with the Program in Jewish Studies.

Responsibilities include appraising and acquiring new IJL materials, providing instruction, supporting grants, and conducting outreach.

Qualifications

• ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library and Information Science, Archival Studies, or Public History.
• At least 1 year of experience with archival collections.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience using ArchivesSpace to create finding aids.
• Experience developing donor relationships and collection development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with JWST and Senior Collections Archivist to appraise, acquire, and accession IJL collections.
• Offer primary source instruction for classes using IJL archival collections.
• Support ongoing grant-funded activities related to IJL collections.
• Deliver outreach events, exhibits, and engagement opportunities for IJL collections.
• Provide reference assistance, create LibGuides, and support patrons and researchers.
• Process acquisitions and describe materials, including finding aids in ArchivesSpace.
• Participate in weekly service point shifts in Reading Room and other service points.
