Reporting to the Education Director, the Teacher's Aide will work with their teaching team to ensure that all children reach developmentally appropriate milestones through the implementation of evidence-based curricula, individualized support, and high-quality learning environments. The Teacher's Aide will focus on preparing children and families for Kindergarten and life success, while ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and site-specific funding regulations. The incumbent will promote the organization's Mission, Vision, and Core Values to align with the position's functions.
The Teacher's Aide must meet Federal Head Start requirements, NYC Department of Health regulations, and Universal Preschool Guidelines. Qualifications include:
Final credential review is reserved for the Education Director and the Children's Aid Director of Early Childhood Programs. The position requires flexibility to work in-person or hybrid, based on departmental needs, with periodic reviews and adjustments.
