Job summary

Paterson Public Schools seeks a licensed Spanish teacher with New Jersey certification to join our secondary program. You will apply best instructional practices, analyze data to drive instruction, and work with adolescent students in a diverse urban setting.

The ideal candidate demonstrates knowledge of NJSLS/NJSLA, strong classroom management, effective communication with staff, students, parents and community, and a commitment to equity and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must hold a New Jersey Spanish certification.
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA.
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction.
• Experience working with adolescent students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character.
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others.
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a New Jersey Spanish certification
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning.
