Job summary

Education Jobs NJ is seeking qualified candidates for a teaching position with Paterson Public Schools. The ideal candidate holds a New Jersey bilingual certificate with an instructional certificate aligned to the content/grade level and demonstrates knowledge of NJSLS and NJSLA.

You will analyze data to drive instruction, apply effective instructional strategies, manage classrooms, and communicate with staff, students, parents, and the community.

Job description

Qualifications:

• Must hold New Jersey Bilingual certificate with an instructional certificate in line with the content/grade level appropriate for the position held
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis and research related to learning and children needing to learn English as a second language.
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction
• Experience working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community
