Job summary

Primary Purpose

Provide students with appropriate supplemental Reading or Math learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.Enable students to develop competencies and skills to meet or exceed state assessment standards and function successfully in society.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
• ESL Certification required all Core Subjects EC-6 and ELAR 7-12

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Knowledge of subjects assigned
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience

• Three to five years of successful classroom teaching

• Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment;[P.E. teachers: automated external defibrillator (AED)]
