THIS IS A CANDIDATE POOL POSTING - There will be additional postings up for specific school sites as they have vacancies. We will monitor and use this pool periodically based on district needs over the summer and throughout the upcoming school year. If you are selected for an Early Contract you will be given a temporary contract. This contract enables you to participate in our internal hiring process along with current Minneapolis Public School educators for licensed positions in the upcoming school year. Historically, people offered Early Contracts have secured licensed positions in MPS. Screening takes place in February and March and the internal hiring process takes place April and May.

SUMMARY:
Speech-language pathologists provide a complete array of services to students with identified communication problems, including students whose primary disability is “speech-language impairment” and students with other primary disabilities who have needs in the area of communication (for example, students with autism, cognitive disabilities, developmental delay).

Teacher Salary Schedule – 39 weeks
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
School environment; may involve lifting up to 40 pounds; and the ability to sit, walk, and/or stand for extended periods of time, both indoors and outdoors.
Final candidates may be invited to interview with a committee. Final appointment to this position will be contingent upon passing a criminal background check.
