Job summary

Paterson Public School District 030 MARTIN LUTHER KING - Paterson, New Jersey is seeking a Teacher Special Ed. LLD to support inclusive classrooms and student achievement.

The successful candidate will implement IEPs, assess progress, differentiate instruction, collaborate with general and special education teams, communicate with families, use data to guide practice, and foster a positive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications

• Must hold K-6 with MS Math and MS LA with TOSD or K-12 Math/K-12 English with TOSD or TOH
• Have excellent experience in teaching and working with children.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning.
• Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
• Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community
