License and Certification Qualifications: Meet Georgia certification requirements in appropriate field of education.
Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in applicable field of education from a Professional Standards Commission (PSC) approved college or university required.
Experience Qualifications: Previous teaching experience preferred.
Skills Qualifications: Knowledge of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum, content expertise, instructional techniques, technology integration, communication skills, diagnostic assessment, mastery of subject area, and knowledge of IDEA and due process.
Primary Responsibilities: Planning and providing appropriate learning experiences based on the district's AKS curriculum, creating a conducive environment for students' development, and collaborating with staff and parents.
Physical Demands: Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, fine finger dexterity, exposure to risk of injury, specific vision abilities. Reasonable accommodations available.
