This position involves planning and implementing instructional programs in General Social Studies, managing student behavior, assessing student achievement, and supporting student monitoring activities.

The role serves as a classroom teacher for middle school grades (grades 4-9), with classes that may be single or multi-grade, often subject-oriented, and sometimes in off-site or specialized labs such as reading, technology, or social studies labs.

Essential Functions

1. Assess student abilities related to educational goals.
2. Plan and execute instructional strategies using various materials and multimedia tools.
3. Develop and adapt educational materials to meet student needs.
4. Establish and maintain effective classroom discipline and management.
5. Collaborate with other staff to maximize learning opportunities.
6. Participate in staff development and meetings.
7. Assess and document student achievement continually.

Minimum Requirements
