Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Plan and provide learning experiences based on the district AKS curriculum, fostering an environment conducive to development.
  2. Demonstrate command of the subject matter.
  3. Develop instructional objectives, identify prerequisite skills, and plan instruction accordingly.
  4. Evaluate, select, and modify resources and activities to match curriculum and student needs.
  5. Communicate learning objectives and link content to students’ prior knowledge.
  6. Organize content and utilize research-based instructional strategies.
  7. Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing feedback and adjusting instruction as needed.
  8. Maintain an organized and effective learning environment.
  9. Manage classroom behavior to create a positive learning atmosphere.
  10. Participate in professional development and act as a role model.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
