Job summary

Paterson Public Schools is seeking a qualified Biology Teacher to join our district. The position requires a New Jersey Biology Teacher certificate, with a bilingual certificate being a plus, and a strong track record of working with adolescents.

The teacher will apply effective instructional practices, use data to guide instruction, and communicate clearly with students, families, and colleagues. Experience with NJSLS/NJSLA and interactive instructional software is valued.

Qualifications

• Hold a New Jersey Biology Teacher certificate (a Bilingual certificate is a plus)
• Have excellent experience in teaching and working with adolescents
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA
• Effective instructional practices and strategies
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction
• Experience working with students at appropriate grade/age levels
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community
