Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA.
• Assumes professional responsibility for providing learning experiences and supervision of assigned students in a supportive and positive classroom climate.
• Strive to meet the highly effective criteria for lesson plans, data-driven instruction, and quality instruction.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners and maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with other staff and with parents of each child.
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans, use data to drive instruction, and deliver quality instruction.

• Demonstrate knowledge of child growth and development, instructional strategies, assessment, and relevant learning research.
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction.

• Strive to meet the highly effective criteria for the preparation of lesson plans, the use of data to drive instruction, the delivering of quality instruction, addressing the needs of diverse learners through differentiation, classroom environment, leadership, and professionalism.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the school staff and with parents of each child
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction
• Experience working with middle school students
• Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community
