Description

This position pays $16.50 hourly. The hours for this position are M-F 8:00am - 3:30 pm.

Job Summary:

QSAC is seeking dedicated and energetic Teacher's Aide 1:1, who provide direct instructional services to students under the general supervision of a New York State certified teacher. The role focuses on one-on-one or small group instruction as outlined by the supervising teacher. A Teacher's Aide supports the students’ recreation, motor, vocational, socialization, communication, leisure, and motor skills through the use of behavior analytic teaching procedures.

Additional job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals.
  • Aide classroom teacher as needed.
  • Maintain student engagement and support student participation in classroom activities.
  • Maintain student safety.
  • Maintain participant/family confidentiality.
  • Complete required program documentation/certifications (e.g., Employee Medicals, PPD, CPR, etc. as required).
  • Commitment to company values and adherence to policies.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance is expected.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s).
  • Ability to run.
  • Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20lb items.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.
