The resident observes and learns on the job while pursuing a degree and/or teaching certification, typically for a full school year, with near full-time responsibilities.

The program enables earning a degree or certification while gaining hands-on teaching experience and contributing to student learning in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or coursework toward a bachelor’s
• Working toward teaching certificate and Bachelor’s degree
• Experience working with diverse populations is valued

Responsibilities

• Observe and learn on the job while pursuing degree/certification
• Work with the MCL and teaching team to support classrooms
• Provide instructional support under supervision and guidance
