Holy Spirit Catholic School, a vibrant and faith-filled learning community within the Archdiocese of St. Louis, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Teacher. This individual will be responsible for creating a nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom environment that supports the spiritual, academic, and social-emotional growth of preschool-aged children. The ideal candidate will model Catholic values, demonstrate a passion for early childhood education, and work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and families to foster student success.

Job Responsibilities

Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote spiritual, cognitive, emotional, and physical development in alignment with Archdiocesan and state early childhood standards.

Integrate Catholic teachings, prayer, and values into daily classroom routines and learning experiences.

Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect, curiosity, and a love for learning.

Assess and document student progress regularly and communicate effectively with parents and administration.

Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to ensure continuity and excellence in instruction and school-wide initiatives.

Manage classroom behavior positively and effectively, maintaining a structured and engaging learning environment.

Attend faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, school events, and professional development sessions as required.

Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and Archdiocesan policies and procedures, including Safe Environment requirements.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a closely related field.

Valid Missouri teaching certification in Early Childhood or Elementary Education.

Prior experience teaching or working with young children in a classroom or preschool setting is preferred.

Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred; must support and uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.

Commitment to fostering academic excellence, faith formation, and child-centered instruction.

Must successfully complete all required background checks and Safe Environment training through the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
