Universal Health Services is seeking part-time teachers for their Partial Hospitalization Program in Chicago. The program focuses on school-age children and adolescents dealing with behavioral health issues, where you will provide instruction and develop interventions as needed.

We are looking for part‑time teachers to join our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) located in Garfield Park. The child/adolescent PHP is designed for school‑age children who may benefit from therapeutic behavioral health services but do not need 24‑hour monitoring and for adolescents ages 12 through 17 who struggle with a behavioral health disorder or mental health issues but are stable enough to live at home during treatment.
Position: 20 hours per week, including teaching two classes per day (10:00‑11:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.‑12:00 p.m.) Monday through Friday.
Job Summary: Provides instruction to patients while maintaining an orderly and disciplined classroom structure. Develops special interventions for patients unable to function within the classroom setting. Assists in curriculum development. Understands basic growth and development milestones with appropriate interventions specific to the age and population served. Completes patient lesson plans, maintains records, keeps an adequate supply of instructional materials, and ensures a safe and sanitary environment.
