Job summary

Kelly Pediatric Therapy is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide school-based services to students in the Bel Air/Harford County, MD area for the 2026–2027 school year. This position is available as either full-time or part-time.

The TVI will develop individualized strategies, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support students in accessing the general education curriculum.

Qualifications

• Maryland certification/licensure as TVI is required.
• Experience with visually impaired students preferred.
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments in a school setting.
• Develop and implement individualized educational strategies based on student needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families.
• Support students in accessing and participating in the general education curriculum.
• Monitor student progress and maintain documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to IEP development and progress monitoring.
• Provide consultation to school staff regarding accommodations and strategies for students with visual impairments.
• Maintain compliance with school and professional requirements.

Kelly Pediatric Therapy is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide school-based services to students in the Bel Air/Harford County, MD area for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity for a TVI who is passionate about helping students with visual impairments develop the skills they need to succeed academically and independently. We are open to candidates seeking either a full-time or part-time schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments in a school-based setting
• Develop and implement individualized educational strategies based on student needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families
• Support students in accessing and participating in the general education curriculum

Qualifications:

• Appropriate Maryland certification/licensure as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI)
• Experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
• School-based or pediatric experience is preferred but not required
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
