Job summary

HealthPRO Pediatrics, a division of HealthPRO Heritage, seeks a Teacher of the Visually Impaired for full-time itinerant coverage in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area. You will provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments across elementary through high school, maintaining a ~10-student direct-service caseload.

You will conduct screenings and evaluations, participate in IEPs, and collaborate with school teams and families, while ensuring compliant documentation and ongoing

Qualifications

• Current license or certification to practice as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Maryland.
• Experience working with students with visual impairments in an educational setting preferred.
• Ability to travel between multiple school locations.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Experience with culturally diverse students and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized services to students with visual impairments based on IEPs.
• Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations as needed.
• Participate in the IEP process and develop present levels/goals/service recommendations.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by the district.
