Job summary

Lift Kingswood is seeking a passionate English Teacher to join our team. You’ll create a supportive learning environment, plan engaging lessons, track progress and provide feedback.

Work closely with colleagues, pastoral staff and parents to meet every student’s needs, build confidence and raise achievement in a school rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

Qualifications

• Have QTS, or are currently training and due to achieve QTS by September 2026 or hold a degree in English and would like to transition into teaching through our in-house Instructor training route, leading to securing qualified teacher status within two years.
• Have a genuine passion for teaching English and a love for developing pupils’ literacy and critical thinking.
• Are committed to fostering positive relationships and high-quality teaching in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach lessons that engage students and build understanding.
• Adapt teaching to meet needs of all learners, including SEND, high ability, and EAL.
• Use assessment and feedback to help students reflect on progress and close gaps.
• Build a positive classroom culture with clear routines and high expectations for behaviour.

About The Role

As an English Teacher at Kingswood Academy, you'll create a learning environment where all students feel supported and encouraged. You'll plan engaging lessons, track student progress, and provide helpful feedback. Working closely with colleagues, pastoral staff, and parents, you'll help meet the needs of every student and build their confidence.
