The Morris County Vocational School District has an anticipated opening for a full-time tenure track Teacher of Electronics Technology for the 2025-2026 school year. This position is located at the new Morris County Career Training Center (MCCTC) on the campus of the County College of Morris, Center Grove Road, Randolph, New Jersey. The MCCTC will house four Share-Time Program Pathways in Healthcare, Business, Information Technology, and Electronics Technology for Morris County high school students in the 11th and 12th grades. The new training center, a state-of-the-art 45,940-square-foot facility, scheduled to open in the spring, is designed to offer specialized programs which equip students with the skills and certifications needed to thrive in today’s workforce.

During the first year of the program, students will gain broad exposure to their chosen field before selecting a specialization for year two, providing students with valuable skills, college credits, and experiences that prepare them for future careers or further education. The pathways include:

  • Healthcare: Dental Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Assistant, and Medical Office Administration
  • Business: Entrepreneurship and Supply Chain Management
  • Information Technology: Artificial Intelligence (Data Science) and Network Administration
  • Electronics Technology: Renewable Energy Technology and Robotics for Automation

Qualifications Required
Applicants must possess or be eligible to qualify for New Jersey Department of Education Career and Technical Education (CTE) certification as a Teacher of Electronics Technology (endorsement code #4174) which requires:

  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree or higher in a related electrical engineering or electronics field; OR
  • Option 2: Associate's degree and employment experience (4,000 hours) in a related electrical engineering or electronics field; OR
  • Option 3: Employment experience only (8,000 hours in a related electrical engineering or electronics field)
