SUMMARY
Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity.
Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Arizona Elementary Certificate with Middle Grades Math OR Math Approved Area
OR
Arizona Middle Grades Certificate with Middle Grades Math OR Math Approved Area
OR
Arizona Secondary Certificate with Middle Grades Math OR Math Approved Area
OR
Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 with Math Approved Area
Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Effective: 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Tucson Unified Virtual Academy/C.O.L.E. – Online
FTE: 1.0 FTE – 7.5 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on salary schedule, please reference the Employee Agreements Webpage.
Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
