This is a long-term substitute position expected to start on 09/04/2025 and end on 02/02/2026. All substitute teachers are hired as per diem, even for long-term assignments, starting at the per diem rate of pay. For more information, visit our website.

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Special Education [Math] Inclusion teacher committed to high standards and equity. This role offers an opportunity to serve in a supportive environment that values creativity and professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Implement district learning goals aligned with state frameworks, including student portfolio development.
  • Provide small-group instruction for students with moderate to severe cognitive delays, ensuring understanding and progress.
  • Develop and monitor IEP goals, providing regular progress reports.
  • Offer accommodations for learning and testing; develop curriculum and prepare students for assessments.
  • Collaborate with staff to modify instruction based on student needs.
  • Assist with transition planning for adult living services, as appropriate.

  • Degree in Special Education
  • ESL License or SEI Endorsement
  • Fluency in BPS official languages (Spanish, Creole, Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Somali) is a plus
