Job summary

Natick Public Schools is seeking a Math Teacher for Natick High School in Massachusetts. The role focuses on delivering high-quality math instruction to a diverse student population with a commitment to equity and excellence.

The ideal candidate will have MA DESE Mathematics 9-12 certification, a strong pedagogy rooted in UDL and SEL practices, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement. This is a full-time, 183-day position with salary per contract.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required with MA DESE Math 9-12 certification.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Massachusetts DESE certification 9-12 in Mathematics is required.
  • SEI Endorsement desired or required.
  • Strong content-area knowledge and understanding of adolescent development.
  • Experience with diverse public school settings and English learners preferred.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Masters degree preferred
  • Massachusetts DESE certification 9-12 in Mathematics
  • SEI Endorsement
  • Strong foundation in student-centered pedagogy
  • Knowledge of the developmental needs of adolescents
  • Strong content-area knowledge
  • Thorough understanding of theories and teaching methodologies along with a sophisticated understanding of the academic, social, and emotional needs of high school students
  • Working knowledge the Massachusetts Standards-Based curriculum
  • Working knowledge of the principles of UDL
  • Working knowledge of SEL instruction and supports
  • Thorough understanding of and commitment to the principles and practices of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice as they relate to student, staff, and community engagement and cultivation
  • Experience teaching in a diverse public school preferred
  • Experience working with students with disabilities/special abilities preferred
  • Experience working with students who are English language learners preferred
  • Experience with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Classroom, etc.) and PowerSchool preferred, but will train the right candidate.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed
  • Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish and Portuguese, are highly desirable
  • Candidates should have a passion for working with students, families, and colleagues
  • Candidates must be flexible and collaborative
  • Candidates must be able to multitask in a fast-paced, supportive environment that nurtures student growth
  • Candidates must be organized and able to meet ongoing, time-sensitive deadlines for work production
  • Alternative degrees/experience may be substituted for the above at the discretion of the Superintendent, if such a substitution brings a strong candidate forward.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
