The UNC School of Education is currently seeking a UNC-Chapel Hill Carolina Community Academy Lab School Teacher. Depending on openings, the teacher may serve in a classroom at kindergarten, first grade, or second grade. This is a ten-month, full-time teaching position housed on-site at the Carolina Community Academy starting February 1, 2025. Teachers at the Carolina Community Academy report to the Carolina Community Academy Principal and may coordinate and direct the activities of teacher assistants.
As an educator within Carolina Community Academy, the teacher will foster a culture of innovation that supports effective instructional practices and strategies to promote student academic and personal success for all students in the school. The teacher will work collaboratively with others to facilitate and implement innovative instruction to achieve the mission of the school. This includes collaboration with the Carolina Community Academy Principal, UNC Chapel Hill Carolina Community Academy liaison, and university faculty/staff to support the successful social-emotional, physical, and academic development of the students.
