Purpose of the Position
This dual-role position supports the mission of Empigo Academy by equipping students and empowering teachers. As a part-time classroom teacher and part-time instructional mentor, you will model biblical faith, foster innovation in teaching, and support the development of part-time teaching faculty. The goal is to create a Christ-centered, skills-driven environment where both students and teachers thrive.

Key Responsibilities
Classroom Teaching (Part-Time)
- Deliver biblically integrated instruction using age-appropriate strategies and materials.
- Create a structured, positive, and engaging learning environment.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Build strong, communicative relationships with parents and guardians.
- Coach and support part-time teachers in curriculum planning, instructional techniques, and classroom management.
- Lead or assist in professional development and spiritual formation opportunities for faculty.
- Encourage a culture of continuous growth and collaboration among teachers.
- Share resources and guidance to help teachers integrate practical, hands-on learning with biblical principles.
- Review and refine curriculum to ensure alignment with educational goals, biblical principles, and practical application skills.
- Support the creation and updating of instructional materials that encourage innovative, student-centered learning.
General Duties
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional learning communities.
- Uphold all school policies and behavioral expectations.
- Fulfill assigned supervisory duties (recess, lunch, hallway, etc.).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and purposeful classroom space.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
Qualifications
- Valid teaching license with a Grade 5–12 endorsement required.
- Preference for experience or expertise in Math, English, or History, but open to other disciplines.
- Experience in Bible-based education strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to support, coach, or mentor teachers.
- In agreement with the Empigo Academy Statement of Faith.
- Active participant in a Bible-believing church or ministry and committed to ongoing spiritual growth.
