Job summary

Illinois Action for Children (IAFC) is hiring an Infant/Toddler Teacher to nurture young minds and support families in our community. You’ll design engaging activities, provide a safe and joyful classroom, and track developmental milestones in collaboration with families and staff.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education, along with at least two years of relevant teaching experience.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education required.
  • At least two years of Early Childhood teaching experience.
  • Infant/Toddler staff must have coursework or training relevant to this age group.

  • Create and lead age-appropriate activities that spark imagination and development.
  • Build a classroom that is safe, clean, and full of joy.
  • Observe, assess, and document developmental milestones.

What You’ll Do (besides Accept Toddler Hugs Daily)

  • Create and lead age-appropriate activities that spark imagination and development.
  • Build a classroom that’s equal parts safe, clean, and full of joy.
  • Observe, assess, and document developmental milestones (first steps are a big deal here).
  • Be the anchor of emotional support for little ones navigating their world.
  • Team up with fellow teachers and staff to deliver exceptional early childhood education.

Your Superpowers

  • Associates degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • At least two years of Early Childhood teaching experience.
  • Infant/Toddler staff must also have coursework or training relevant to this age group.

Location Assignments:
We have openings in the South Suburbs ( Dolton/Ford Heights/ Chicago Heights)
