Responsibilities

• Shares daily responsibilities with the Lead Teacher; works with students individually and in small and whole group settings.
• Serves as the Lead Teacher, assumes responsibility for all classroom activities and instruction when the Lead Teacher is unavailable.
• Develops lesson plans for a particular class unit or for an individual child, at the Lead Teacher's approval or upon request.
• Shares responsibility of administering assessment testing with other colleagues.
• Communicates information to the Lead Teacher concerning students' academic and/or behavioral progress and successes.
• Assists with grading and reporting of grades on report cards; supports conferences with parents or guardians.
