Qualifications & Requirements
  1. CTC Teacher Permit - Teacher Permit or Higher
  2. 16 GE Units
  3. Solid working knowledge of Community Care Licensing requirements, California Department of Education requirements, and Industry "Best Practices"
  4. Obtain and maintain certification of Pediatric First Aid and Pediatric CPR as required by California State Licensing
  5. Minimum of 5 years experience in ECE programs or equivalent qualifications
    or 24 ECE units plus 6 units in Infant/Toddler Development plus General Education units, and/or a CTC Teacher Permit - Teacher Permit or Higher
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Spanish (desired but not required)
  • Infant/Toddler Units (desired but not required)
Job Responsibilities

In cooperation with the teaching team, plan and implement diverse, age-appropriate activities aligned with NBCC philosophies and Industry "Best Practices". Ensure all activities meet children's developmental needs across social-emotional, cognitive, motor, and health domains. Maintain a professional, respectful, and collaborative team environment. Adhere to all policies and maintain a safe, inviting classroom environment. Conduct ongoing assessments, participate in parent conferences, and foster positive relationships with children and families.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain classroom and outdoor environment according to licensing standards
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and development activities
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
  • Engage in self-assessment and professional growth
  • Support positive behavior and cultural respect among children
Physical & Human Resources Requirements
  • Health clearance, TB test, immunizations, and criminal background checks
  • Valid driver’s license (if transporting children)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks required by the role
Compensation

Annual salary range: $28,000 - $31,000
