SUMMARY

Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity. Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Arizona Secondary Certificate with Dance Approved Area OR Dance K-12 Endorsement
• Arizona Elementary Certificate with Dance Endorsement K-12
• Arizona Arts Education - Dance PreK-12 Certificate
• Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 with Dance Approved Area
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START DATE

• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
• Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

COMMENTS

Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Tucson High Magnet School 6th St. & Euclid Area
FTE : 1.0 -7.5 hours per day
Work Calendar:9.5 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
