Qualifications

• Hold a New Jersey Teaching Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility in K-12 English or K-6 with Middle School English Language Arts or K-8, and certification in Bilingual/Bicultural Education.
• Knowledge of teaching, child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnostics, and research related to learning and children needing to learn in bilingual classrooms
• Experience working with students
• Knowledge of assessment and data analysis for instructional purposes
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the community
• Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community
• Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, digital technology to augment authentic learning, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications
• Successful implementation of instructional strategies
• Must be computer literate
• Highly motivated result-driven educator
