Summary

A teacher will employ effective teaching methods to ensure student success and foster an exemplary educational environment that promotes achievement for all students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities.
2. Create a positive educational climate for students.
3. Meet course and school-wide performance goals.
4. Participate in ongoing training sessions.
5. Create and modify lesson plans throughout the year.
6. Grade papers and perform administrative duties as needed.
7. Stay current on educational topics.
8. Utilize curriculum resources and technologies to enhance learning.
9. Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lessons.
10. Use district curricula reflecting students' diverse backgrounds.
11. Establish clear objectives for learning activities.
12. Communicate with parents.
13. Observe and evaluate student performance.
14. Manage classroom behavior effectively.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum age of 18.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Criminal background check required.
• Must obtain or possess a valid Colorado Educator License within 30 days of hire.
• Must have the required license and endorsement, with additional qualifications if applicable.

Preference given to candidates with ELL Training and/or ESL or LDE Endorsement.

Salary Information (External Candidates)

Placement depends on education and work experience, with up to 10 years of credit for relevant experience.
