Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Teacher for the Visually Impaired to provide students with learning experiences that foster social, intellectual, and emotional growth in a school setting.

This travel role involves organizing and implementing instructional programs for visually impaired students, enabling them to develop competencies for successful functioning, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
  • Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
  • One year experience as a teacher for the visually impaired preferred.
  • Current CPR if applicable.
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job description

The Teacher for the Visually Impaired provides students with appropriate learning experiences and activities designed to help them in social, intellectual, and emotional growth. The Teacher for the Visually Impaired organizes and implements an instructional program for visually impaired students.
