Second Mile is seeking a Teacher - English Language Arts Interventionist to coach and motivate high school students within our educational model focused on mastery and IGPs. The role emphasizes data-driven instruction, rigorous reading support, and accountability for student progress.
The ideal candidate holds a Masters or Bachelor’s in a related subject or a valid teaching certificate and has prior high school teaching experience, preferably with overage or at-risk youth.

Salary Range: $49,000.00 To $57,000.00 Annually
The English Interventionist position is responsible for coaching, motivating and instructing high school students within the company model and with attention given to each student’s Individual Graduation Plan (IGP). All for-credit courses are aligned to state standards and are delivered in such a way to engage student learning, and accelerate the accumulation of credits through a mastery-based educational model. In many respects, the teacher acts more like a coach and mentor in this environment and is specifically focused on ensuring the success of his/her students.
