A successful applicant will be able to:

Design & Deliver Equitable Instruction: Plan and implement rigorous, standards-based, and culturally relevant curriculum that ensures academic excellence for all students, including English Language Learners, students with disabilities, and historically underserved populations.
Foster a Joyful Classroom: Create a safe, welcoming, and liberating classroom environment that is grounded in principles of Restorative Justice, allowing students to thrive emotionally and socially.
Utilize Data for Growth: Regularly assess student progress using multiple measures (formal and informal) and use performance data to drive instructional modifications and personalize learning.
Engage with Community: Build strong, positive, and collaborative relationships with students, families, and the wider Oakland community to support student success.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, must be eligible for employment in the US and pass a criminal background check. Candidates must possess, or be willing to earn, a California teaching credential. Candidates must have two current professional references on file, including one from a previous supervisor.
