Job description

If teaching younger children, especially infants and toddlers, is your love and passion, we need you! SUMMIT Early Learning in Lewisburg is looking to hire a teacher to work in our Early Head Start classroom. Our staff is comprised of loving, caring and committed individuals, joined together as a team. Summit Early Learning staff are dedicated to providing a high-quality learning experience for infants and toddlers and their families, implementing the curriculum and daily plans, and providing a safe environment for the children. Teachers at SUMMIT Early Learning are supported by an experienced team that provides a positive environment that meets the needs of children socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum requirements:

  • CDA (Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate).
  • Must have an interest in child development.
  • Have a flexible personality.
  • Capable of working with a diverse population.
  • Work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
  • Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or BA/BS in a related field with 15 credits in ECE plus two years of experience working in an early childhood setting with infants/toddlers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
With the support of a qualified team and using research-based curriculum, work with culturally, ethnically, and socio-economically diverse populations of children/families and ensure the delivery of a quality early childhood education program in compliance with all applicable regulations.

HOURS & SALARY:
Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday – Friday. (Based on the school-year calendar.) $16.41 to $18.24/hour, 200 days/year, 8 hours/day.
