Job Description:

• The position is responsible for instructing grades 7-12 school students in choral music and creating a safe and orderly learning environment.
• Position motivates students to develop an interest in and an appreciation of the art of music.
• The position develops students' knowledge, skills, and talents in the field of music, utilizing various instructional techniques appropriate to students’ interests and abilities.

Job Requirements:

• Must possess or be willing to attain a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education 5-12 or all grades or a related field and meet the Indiana Department of Education licensure eligibility requirements to teach music.
• Must possess effective instructional delivery techniques and excellent communication skills.
• Must possess an in-depth knowledge of choral music techniques and skills.
• Must possess the ability to instruct students in choral music.
• Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.

Job Qualifications:

• Candidates must hold or be willing to attain a valid Indiana teacher's license in Vocal Music at an intermediate/middle/secondary level.
• Strong communication, well organized, positive attitude, flexible, dependable, patient, and excellent attendance.
• Previous experience preferred.
