Job summary

Paterson Public Schools in New Jersey is seeking a qualified Biology teacher to join our high school team. You will deliver engaging biology instruction to adolescents, apply NJ standards (NJSLS) and assess student learning using data-driven approaches.

Candidates must hold a New Jersey Biology Teacher certificate, with bilingual certification a plus, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, integrity, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and the community.

Qualifications

• Hold a New Jersey Biology Teacher certificate (a Bilingual certificate is a plus).
• Have excellent experience in teaching and working with adolescents.
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA.
• Effective instructional practices and strategies.
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction.
• Experience working with high school students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character.
• Critical thinker, problem solver, and respectful.
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community.
