New Hire Bonus up to $500 for part time in the first 90 days!

We are seeking a responsible and energetic Teacher Assistant to join our growing school. The role involves participating in curriculum planning, working with parents, and assessing children’s needs under the guidance of the lead teacher. This is a seasonal summer position with potential for year-round employment. Hours are 8am-1pm and/or 12:30-5:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and stimulating environment appropriate for each child's developmental level.
  • Support the Lead Teacher with classroom appearance, décor, and learning environment.
  • Share housekeeping responsibilities.
  • Promote healthy eating through participation in family-style meals and nutritional activities.
  • Meet licensing requirements for ratios.
  • Lead in the absence of the Lead Teacher.
  • Interact with children following developmentally appropriate practices as per NAEYC guidelines.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive redirection, problem-solving, setting limits, and active listening.
  • Assist in developing and implementing lesson plans.

  • Model behavior after the Lead Teacher.
  • Meet licensing agency requirements.
  • Possess a warm, friendly personality.
  • Be sensitive to others’ needs and feelings; relate well to children.
  • Align responsibilities with the center’s educational philosophy.
