The Academy of Visual and Performing Arts is seeking a Paraprofessional to support student learning and classroom activities in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time position requires a high school diploma or GED and a commitment to nurturing students in their academic and artistic pursuits. The role includes assisting certified teachers, managing classroom operations, and fostering positive relationships with students and staff.

Academy of Visual and Performing Arts is a 6-12th grade, tuition-free public charter school for students in Fort Worth, Texas. Our mission is to provide a safe, challenging learning environment that cultivates our students’ academic and artistic excellence. We exist to ensure that all students are provided with equitable opportunities to Learn In The Arts and Learn Through The Arts.
Start Date: TBA- Based on need
Type: Full-time position. Work hours are generally 8:15 am - 4:45 pm.
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Assistant Principal - Culture, the core responsibilities of an Academy of Visual and Performing Arts Paraprofessional, at a minimum, include:

Performs other duties as assigned.

What We Offer
Academy of Visual and Performing Arts’ compensation philosophy is to pay competitively for the PK-12 charter market to ensure equity across our institution. The salary band for this role is $22,500 - $25,000. AVPA is committed to internal pay equity throughout our organization. Because of this, we do not negotiate salary offers outside our salary bands.
