BrightPath Kids in Madison, CT seeks a Teacher Assistant to support teachers and families, creating a home-like environment per NAEYC guidelines. You will help supervise children, assist with instruction, and maintain a welcoming classroom atmosphere.

No classroom experience? Paid training is provided to learn classroom procedures and standards while contributing to a positive early education experience for children and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years.
• Assist teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorate inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintain a warm and safe environment that is clean and allows children to grow and explore.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
