Responsibilities

• Assists teacher in routing classroom operation (tutoring, etc.).
• Prepares planned instructional materials, attendance reports and class reports.
• Implements and follows teacher instructions for classroom procedures; reinforce, maintain consistency.
• Makes referrals when difficulties arise and teacher is not available.
• Demonstrates understanding of student problems while remaining courteous.
• Keeps records, writes lessons on the board and corrects student work.
• Performs extra duties as prescribed by administration.
• Meets with students during 6 of 7 class periods; one prep period.
• Classes range from 4–8 students by grade level.
• Helps students catch up in math; uses ALEKS program.
• Connects with math teachers to support classroom topics.

Summary: Assist teachers with daily non-instructional and instructional activities and student management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists teacher in routing classroom operation i.e. tutoring etc.
• Prepares planned instructional materials, attendance reports and class reports.
• Implements/follows teachers instructions of classroom procedures; reinforcement, philosophy and consistency.
• Makes appropriate referrals when difficulties arise and teacher is not readily available.
• Demonstrates an understanding of students' problems, keeps a firm course yet is courteous.
• Keeps records, writes lessons on the board, and corrects student's work.
• Performs extra duties as prescribed by the administration.
• Meet with students 6 of 7 class periods
• One prep period
• Classes ranging from 4-8 students by grade level
• Help students “catch up” in math
• Computer program ALEKS
• Connect with math teachers and support classroom topics
