Job summary

Lindbergh Schools Crestwood Elementary in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking a part-time Teacher Assistant - Math to support daily classroom activities and student management. The role schedules 4 hours per day across Monday to Friday, during student attendance days, with an hourly rate of $22.95.

Qualifications

• Assist teachers with daily non-instructional and instructional activities and student management.
• Assists teacher in routing classroom operation i.e. tutoring etc.
• Prepares planned instructional materials, attendance reports and class reports.
• Implements/follows teachers instructions of classroom procedures; reinforcement, philosophy and consistency.
• Makes appropriate referrals when difficulties arise and teacher is not readily available.
• Demonstrates an understanding of students' problems, keeps a firm course yet is courteous.
• Keeps records, writes lessons on the board, and corrects student's work.
• Performs extra duties as prescribed by the administration.
• Meet with students 6 of 7 class periods
• One prep period
• Classes ranging from 4-8 students by grade level
• Help students catch up in math
• Connect with math teachers and support classroom topics
