REPORTS TO: Principal
The Teacher Assistant in a Kindergarten general education classroom reports directly to the Principal or designee and works under their guidance and supervision. This role supports teachers in ESL, Dual Language, or Bilingual programs by assisting with language development, small group instruction, and classroom activities that promote academic and social growth. Responsibilities include reinforcing instructional strategies, supporting student engagement, and helping create a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment for all students.
NOTE: The safety of school children is an important responsibility of the teacher assistant program. As such, please note that all teacher assistants MUST be available for bus monitoring assignments and will be paid in accordance with the additional hours worked.
