Qualifications

• Successful completion of 48 hours of college credits or passing the ParaProfessional Test and prior experience working with children.
• Experience supporting classroom activities and assisting with student needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with instructional activities and reinforce material for students
• Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce material introduced by teacher
• Prepare materials for learning and other instructional activities
• Assist with large group activities and supervise during cafeterias, hall, recess and bus duties
• Provide classroom coverage and support during teacher absences
• Participate in inservice training programs as assigned
