Job summary

Chambliss Center for Children is seeking a Teacher Assistant - Floater to provide support across the center as needed. You will help teachers maintain a safe, caring, and engaging learning environment for children.

This role offers variety by supporting different classrooms and age groups, with a schedule Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM, and potential for full-time based on center needs.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a fingerprint background check.
• Enjoys working with young children.
• Caring, patient, and dependable.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Able to adjust to different classrooms and situations.
• Previous experience working with children in a classroom setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help cover teacher and staff breaks throughout the day.
• Provide classroom coverage when staff members are absent.
• Help in classrooms that need extra support.
• Work with children during play, learning activities, meals, and routines.
• Help keep classrooms clean, safe, and organized.

Location:

Pro Re Bona Early Learnng Center, 1707 Dodds Avenue, Chattanooga, TN

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM - 5:30 PM (potential for full-time)

Pay:

From $13/hour (no experience required); higher with experience/education
