Job summary

School District of Indian River County seeks a Support Staff-CWA/ Teacher Assistant at Liberty Magnet School to support instructional activities for exceptional students.

You will work with teachers, students, and families, providing classroom assistance, maintaining confidentiality, and using various technologies to aid learning in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of college education or an associate degree or verified ability to assist in instruction in core subjects.
• Completion of teacher aide course or 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination preferred.
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.

   • b. Associate's or higher degree; or
   • c. Knowledge and ability to assist in instruction in core subjects as verified by a rigorous state or local assessment.
3. Completion of teacher aide course, or 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination preferred.
4. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.

Salary Information

Support Personnel. Pay Grade 6. One hundred eighty-six days worked per year (10 months). FLSA Non-Exempt.
